In protest against FIFA, many football fans around the world are boycotting the World Cup in Qatar. However, this leaves some players wives cold. To support their husbands, many girlfriends, fiancées and wives of the German internationals flock to Doha.
The German national team starts the World Cup on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Khalifa International Stadium. Goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, striker Mario Götze and midfield star Joshua Kimmich will also be there. The partners of the three professional athletes have also arrived on site.
The Brazilian model Izabel Goulart, Trapp's fiancé, first posts a pan shot of the city in her Instagram story and writes: "Hello Doha."
