The judge of the National Court Francisco de Jorge has agreed to unconditional imprisonment for attempted terrorist murder for the detainee in Lanjarón (Granada) for the attempted murder of the co-founder of Vox and former leader of the PP Alejo Vidal-Quadras, on November 9 in Madrid, and has released the other two arrested.

According to legal sources, the other man arrested in Fuengirola (Málaga) and the woman, of British origin and partner of the man arrested in Lanjarón, have been released with precautionary measures.

Thus, they will have to appear in court on the 1st and 15th of each month and will have to hand over their passport, since the magistrate has prohibited them from leaving the national territory.

Last week, De Jorge assumed this investigation, which has been declared secret, as it may be a crime of terrorism due to the possibility that responsibility for the attack lies with an organization linked to the Iranian regime.

According to the first investigations, the detainee in Fuengirola would be related to the motorcycle used in the attack and on which the shooter and his companion who was driving it fled. After the arrest of these suspects, it also emerged that the Police are looking for a fourth suspect of Tunisian origin.

Regarding the couple, the mayor of Lanjarón, Eric Escobedo, told Efe that he had recently rented an apartment on Alpujarra Avenue.

The clue that led the Police to them was the presence of a vehicle parked on a street parallel to that avenue, which should not have been parked there because that esplanade is being prepared to host the Lanjarón Agri-Food and Honey Fair these days.

Vidal-Quadras, 78, was shot in the face around 1:30 p.m. on November 9, very close to his home, on Núñez de Balboa Street in Madrid.

He himself informed the Police that the Tehran regime could be behind the shooting due to its relations with the opposition in this country.

Just yesterday he was discharged from the Gregorio Marañón hospital in Madrid, where he has remained admitted since the attack.
