Automotive. Formula 1: Charles Leclerc wins in Austria

Charles Leclerc won the Austria Red Bull Land championship ahead of Max Verstappen. This is the first championship in which the third place winner has not started from pole position.

The Monegasque, who was the leader of the championship and author of a great overtaking of the Dutchman, finally wins the title. Charles Leclerc hadn't won a Grand Prix since Australia in April last year. He wins his fifth Formula 1 victory, and third of the season.

On Sunday, the Ferrari driver felt mostly better after he had to deal with a stuck accelerator pedal. Verstappen put him under pressure.

Carlos Sainz, his teammate, was not as fortunate. The Spaniard won Silverstone last weekend. However, he was forced to retire 12 laps before the finish line when his engine began to smoke and then exploded under his bonnet. The commissioners took him out of the race in extreme circumstances as the flames started to rise.

Mercedes has good news: Lewis Hamilton won his third podium in succession, beating George Russell (4th in Austria).
