"Awkward dad moment": David Beckham messes up the mission

Many still see David Beckham as a cool sock. But his daughter Harper undoubtedly looks at him with different eyes. For her, her famous father is probably just embarrassing at times. So now on a joint trip to the concert of The Weeknd.

David Beckham attended a The Weeknd concert in Miami with his 11-year-old daughter Harper over the weekend. On his Instagram page, the former soccer star posted some videos showing him at the event, which Harper apparently filmed himself.

However, the 47-year-old does not really come off well. For example, David Beckham struggles with the right cues when he tries his hand at a song and dance routine to the music of The Weeknd. "Awkward dad moment," he captioned the post with a good dose of self-mockery. "The timing was a bit off but we made it in the end and I made Harper laugh."

For another video, the ex-soccer player apparently grabbed his smartphone himself. It features Harper singing along to a The Weeknd song with fervor. The proud dad wrote: "I know I've already posted a video of our little girl but she's making fun of the daddy dance right now and it's so cute I have to share it again."

At the end of the short photo and video show on Instagram, David Beckham and his daughter can even be seen together with The Weeknd, who took a selfie with the two. The singer later commented on Beckham's post as well. Among other things, he left a heart emoji in the comments column.

Born in 2011, Harper is one of four children born to the ex-kicker's marriage to former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham. She is not only the youngest but also the only girl in the family. Her brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz were born in 1999, 2002 and 2005.
