Ayurveda without Charles: Camilla on a cure in India

Actually, the media shouldn't hear about it, and there aren't any official dates either: British Queen Camilla is apparently in need of rest. She traveled to India without Charles to regenerate her body and soul.

According to media reports, British Queen Camilla is currently on a spa holiday in India without King Charles III. The 75-year-old enjoys ten days of rejuvenation therapies in an exclusive center for Ayurveda therapy, yoga and naturopathy with an organic farm, chapel and swimming pool in southern Bengaluru, the Times of India recently reported, citing police and airport circles. She was traveling with friends and a royal protection force.

There are no public appointments during her private stay in India. The newspaper quoted from police circles: "There were strict instructions not to make your trip public because it is a private visit". A night in the center costs at least 42,900 rupees (521 euros), wrote the British "Daily Mail".

Camilla has been Queen since the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 and has had many appointments during that time. With the coronation, the next major date is already on the calendar for May 6th: in addition to Charles, Camilla is also to be crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Around 2,000 guests are expected in the British capital. However, that would be 6,000 fewer than at Elizabeth's ceremony. The celebration should also only last about an hour and thus be significantly shorter than 70 years ago.

Camilla and Charles have visited the resort in India together before. The Ayurveda center presents photos of the two on its website. Charles had celebrated his 71st birthday there about three years ago. The center writes that it helps restore balance to the mind and body.

Also offered there: bird watching, a medicinal garden, cooking demonstrations, music programs, guided tours of the garden, lectures by doctors and Trataka - a yogic purification and tantric meditation method. According to the Daily Mail, the retreat is likely to address the king's commitment to sustainability, as all farming is organic, they use solar and wind power, and they collect rainwater.
