Straubenhardt (dpa / lsw) - A resident of an asylum accommodation in Straubenhardt (Enzkreis) sprayed pepper spray because of a dispute with a roommate and fogged the entire anteroom of the accommodation. The 27-year-old roommate and a 31-year-old resident and their five-year-old daughter suffered severe facial irritation on Friday evening, a police spokesman said on Saturday. Rescue workers treated the three. The 30-year-old suspect was not injured, the spokesman said.
Because of the argument and the sprayed irritant gas, most of the 58 residents left the accommodation. They had to walk through the foggy corridor area and sometimes suffered from slight irritation. However, they did not have to be treated, the spokesman said. So far it was unclear why the dispute broke out and escalated.
