Bad Dürrheim (dpa / lsw) - With his mother's car, a 14-year-old gave himself a chase with the police. As the police announced on Wednesday, the boy drove off in the car in Bad Dürrheim (Schwarzwald-Baar district) on Tuesday afternoon without the knowledge of his mother. The 14-year-old did not respond to police requests to stop.
During the journey, the boy accelerated the car several times, according to the information. In some cases, speeds of up to 180 kilometers per hour were measured. He also drove past a police car in the oncoming lane, drove on the bike path and onto the freeway. The trip ended on a connecting route near Donaueschingen (Schwarzwald-Baar district) because of an unbridgeable excavation.
During the dangerous journey, numerous road users had to brake hard or avoid the boy. Nobody was harmed in the incident. The chase lasted about two hours.
