Walheim (dpa / lsw) - A 15-year-old cyclist crashed head-on into an oncoming car in Walheim (Ludwigsburg district) on Saturday afternoon. The teenager was seriously injured, the police said on Sunday. The cyclist went downhill and made a left turn, colliding with the car of a 52-year-old woman driver.
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown onto the hood and hit his head on the windshield. He slid off the hood onto the asphalt, and the impact threw his bike into a nearby field. The ambulance took the teenager to a hospital with serious injuries, the driver was not injured.
