Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - About 1500 people came to the start of the SWR summer festival in Stuttgart on Friday evening. This was announced by a spokeswoman for the station. Even an intermittent rain shower could not spoil the mood of the audience on the Schlossplatz. The highlight was the performance by musician Tim Bendzko. Beforehand, the visitors cheered for the singer Alice Merton and the Stuttgart pop duo Parallel.
The 13th SWR summer festival with evening events and a free daily program will take place until Monday. On Sunday evening, among others, the Italian musician Giovanni Zarrella will be performing in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg. The open-air summer festival ends on Monday with the premiere of a Stuttgart "crime scene".
