Nuremberg (dpa / lsw) - Because of a basement fire in a residential building in Nuremberg, 21 people had to leave their homes. Two people came to the hospital on Monday night suspected of smoke poisoning, the fire department said. When the rescue workers arrived, the residents were already making themselves felt at the windows. Smoke was pouring out of the basement windows. The building was disconnected from the electricity and gas supply network. The police began investigating the cause of the fire. The amount of damage was initially unclear.
