According to a statement on Thursday, the Somali national is accused of stabbing a 79-year-old several times with a kitchen knife on August 2, 2022 in Ludwigsburg. It was intended to kill him. The motive is still unclear. The alleged perpetrator shows signs of mental illness. The district court of Stuttgart must now decide whether to admit the charges.
The suspect was arrested after the crime at a subway station in Stuttgart. Witnesses found the victim lying on the ground with serious injuries. According to the autopsy, the man had multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
