Heiningen (dpa / lsw) - A construction worker was seriously injured when a 500-kilogram steel plate fell. The plate fell on the worker's leg because a steel clamp fastening the plate had come loose, the police said on Thursday. Colleagues freed the trapped man from his position. He was taken to a hospital. How the accident happened on Wednesday in Heiningen (Göppingen district) is still being determined. For the time being, there were no indications that third parties were at fault.
