Baden-Württemberg: 81-year-old drives a drunk car and causes two accidents

Reilingen/Kirrlach (dpa/lsw) - With more than 2.0 per thousand alcohol in the blood, an 81-year-old caused two accidents in Reilingen (Rhein-Neckar district). After her car collided with the side mirror of a car on Friday afternoon, the woman was observed by a witness as she drove the vehicle into another car. The police announced on Saturday. The witness tried to stop the 81-year-old, but she drove on.

During her escape, she drove her car several times into the oncoming lane before she stopped independently in a district of Waghäusel (Karlsruhe district) and called the police. This took the woman's driver's license, now she is expecting a criminal complaint. The total damage was around 10,000 euros.
