Baden-Württemberg: A medical mask is sufficient for clinic and home employees

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - In view of the falling corona numbers in the southwest, employees in hospitals and nursing homes will no longer have to wear an FFP2 mask at work in the future, a medical mask will suffice. However, an FFP2 mask is still mandatory for visitors, and only children between the ages of 6 and 14 are allowed to wear medical mouth and nose protection. The new regulation will come into force on Saturday, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday in Stuttgart. Another reason for the easing is that the vaccination rate among employees is higher than in the rest of the population. However, the providers of clinics and homes can also order stricter measures by domiciliary rights. It remains the case that visitors must show a negative rapid test. The last incidence in Baden-Württemberg was 167.
