Göppingen/ Berghülen (dpa/lsw) - There were several traffic accidents on Friday and Saturday due to black ice. An 18-year-old novice driver crashed his car into a rock on the side of the road in Göppingen. The man drove too fast into a curve on Saturday morning, which was slippery due to the weather, the police said. Neither he nor his 16- and 18-year-old passengers were injured. Police say the car is worth scrap.
There was also an accident on a snowy road near Ehingen (Alb-Donau-Kreis): In a curve, the car of a 20-year-old driver skidded on Friday. The rear of the car crashed into a car in the oncoming lane, police said on Saturday. The 20-year-old suffered minor injuries. The two cars suffered total damage of around 33,000 euros.
After the driver wanted to countersteer, her car spun off a snowy road into a ditch near Burgrieden (Biberach district) on Friday. The 21-year-old was unharmed, police said.
