Göppingen/ Berghülen (dpa/lsw) - There were several traffic accidents on Friday and Saturday due to black ice. An 18-year-old novice driver crashed his car into a rock on the side of the road in Göppingen. The man drove too fast into a curve on Saturday morning, which was slippery due to the weather, the police said. Neither he nor his 16- and 18-year-old passengers were injured. Police say the car is worth scrap.

The car of a 32-year-old came off a slippery road near Berghülen (Alb-Donau-Kreis) on Friday. According to police, the car overturned and landed on its roof. The woman suffered minor head injuries, but the two children in the car were unharmed.

There was also an accident on a snowy road near Ehingen (Alb-Donau-Kreis): In a curve, the car of a 20-year-old driver skidded on Friday. The rear of the car crashed into a car in the oncoming lane, police said on Saturday. The 20-year-old suffered minor injuries. The two cars suffered total damage of around 33,000 euros.

After the driver wanted to countersteer, her car spun off a snowy road into a ditch near Burgrieden (Biberach district) on Friday. The 21-year-old was unharmed, police said.
