Ulm (dpa / lsw) - A resident in Ulm reported a burglary after her friend had kicked in the apartment door because of the forgotten key. As the police announced on Sunday, the woman now has to answer for faking a crime.
The 30-year-old had previously left the apartment with a friend without a key to celebrate her birthday. When the two got home early Sunday morning, they first rang a neighbor who was sleeping. Then the acquaintance came up with the idea of using a bench to gain access to the apartment via the balcony.
It was said to have failed. The neighbor was in the immediate vicinity of the attempt and was slightly injured for reasons that are still unclear. The acquaintance then kicked in the door of the apartment. After several hours of sleep, the resident decided to report the incident to the caretaker as a burglary - and he informed the police.
