Baden-Württemberg: After the corruption process: the accused appeal

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - In the Karlsruhe corruption process, all three accused appealed. This was confirmed on Thursday by a spokeswoman for the district court in Karlsruhe. The "Badische Latest News" (BNN) had previously reported on it. On January 10, after 22 days of hearings, the court sentenced a suspended magistrate, an ex-policeman and a car dealer to suspended sentences.

The district court had given the judge a two-year suspended sentence for accepting an advantage in eight cases, for perverting the law and taking bribes. The ex-cop got nine months' probation for granting benefits and the car dealer got a year's probation for bribery and attempted fraud. The 60, 67 and 49-year-old men have been on trial since May last year. The defense attorneys for the three men had each pleaded for acquittal (Az.: 4 KLs 730 Js 21302/17).
