Baden-Württemberg: after violent crimes: arrest warrant against 52-year-olds

Albstadt (dpa / lsw) - He is said to have killed and buried a young relative and shot a 23-year-old: After two violent crimes in Albstadt, an arrest warrant was issued against the alleged perpetrator on Thursday. The 52-year-old is in custody on suspicion of murder, the police said on Thursday evening. He is accused of killing a 20-year-old relative and burying her in his garden. On the other hand, he is said to have shot a 23-year-old several times on Wednesday in the center of Albstadt (Zollernalbkreis). The man died a little later in the hospital.

Police say the motive for the crimes is still unclear. "The accused makes use of his right to refuse to testify," said the spokeswoman. "There is little knowledge of the exact course of events." All three involved knew each other, according to the investigators. They are Italians, the woman also has German citizenship.

The two young people killed were friends. The spokeswoman could not say how deep and what kind of friendship was. Forensic pathologists autopsied the bodies of the two on Thursday. The investigators did not want to comment on the cause of death of the young woman because the perpetrators knew.

Police arrested the suspect near his home shortly after the shooting. He gave the clue to the buried body. A pistol was also found on him.
