The crooks tore the free-standing machine from its anchorage in a backyard on Thursday morning and wanted to load it into a white station wagon, a police spokeswoman said. A local resident observed the group in action and informed the officials. Despite a search at the border crossings, there was initially no trace of the alleged thieves.
