Hügelsheim (dpa / lsw) - An infant was thrown out of his stroller in a bus in the Rastatt district and was seriously injured. The incident happened because the bus braked abruptly on a country road near Hügelsheim on Monday to prevent a collision with a car, the police said. A helicopter took the baby to a children's hospital. According to a police spokeswoman, it was initially unclear whether his life was in danger.
According to the information, the car had given way to the bus at an intersection. After the incident, the driver drove away without permission. The police is now looking for witnesses.
