They live here in peace, but their families and friends are at war: a presentation at the ZKM in Karlsruhe tells of the dilemma of Ukrainian art scholarship holders.

Karlsruhe (dpa/lsw) - The Karlsruhe Media Art Center ZKM provides an insight into the work of three Ukrainian scholarship holders. Starting this Friday (11:00 a.m.), two large video and animation works by the artists Alina Bukina and Anna Manankina will be shown in the foyer under the title "On the Boundary of Two Worlds". In addition, the human rights activist and filmmaker Oksana Ivantsiv will present the documentary she produced in 2018 about a traumatized soldier.

Until February 12, the presentation focuses on the search for Ukrainian identity under the conditions of war. Some of the works were created during the time as an artist in residency at the ZKM. On the day of the open house at the ZKM this Friday, there will be an artist talk (3 p.m.).
