Bietigheim (dpa / lsw) - The Bietigheim Steelers have signed ice hockey professional Chase Berger. The American comes from the Slovakian first division club HC Banska Bystrica and would like to take the next step with the Baden-Württembergers, as the club from the German Ice Hockey League announced on Sunday. The 27-year-old center played 55 games last season. He scored 24 goals himself and prepared another 27 goals.
"With this commitment, we have completed our squad planning," said Managing Director Volker Schoch. "His strength in the face-off and his goal threat should make our offensive even more unpredictable."
