Ljubljana (dpa/lsw) - The handball players of the SG BBM Bietigheim could not stop their winless series in the Champions League. The Bundesliga leaders lost to the Slovenian club RK Krim Mercator on Sunday by 28:35 (14:19). It was the fifth winless game in a row in the premier class. In Group A, coach Markus Gaugisch's team is fourth.

Already in the first round Bietigheim fell behind (14:6/20.). The SG could no longer catch up. The best thrower of the game was Darya Dmitrieva with twelve goals. Among the guests, Karolina Kudlacz-Gloc, who had to be treated after being hit in the neck, and Jenny Behrend were the most successful with five goals each.
