The preparations for this were underway, said the police spokesman on Monday afternoon. However, the mission for divers at a depth of 60 to 70 meters is demanding, the equipment still has to be prepared for it. The spokesman could not give a time frame for the salvage of the push boat. The drilling platform, on the other hand, is now safely moored in a port.
According to the police, the ship with diesel on board was attached to a drilling platform near Überlingen on Friday. This is used for test drilling to expand the drinking water supply at Lake Constance. The platform had turned due to strong winds, the boat became detached and capsized.
Small amounts of fuel still escaped from the wreck on Monday, which is why the fire brigade, according to the police, erected an oil barrier on the surface of the lake. The drinking water supply at Lake Constance is still not at risk.
