Gottenheim/Freiburg (dpa/lsw) - After finding a female body in the Wetteraukreis in Hesse, the police are investigating a possible connection to a missing 14-year-old girl from Gottenheim (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district). A forensic examination of the body found on Friday should clarify the identity and cause of death of the person found, said a police spokesman in Freiburg on Saturday. No further information was given.
Since July 21, the police have been looking for the 14-year-old with high pressure. The teenager left her parents' house in Gottenheim around 6 p.m. and has been missing ever since. The police had also tried with dogs and supported by a police helicopter to find the girl. A group of investigators was specially put together to deal with the case.
