Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) - According to its own statements, the power tool division of the Bosch technology group achieved record sales in the 2021 financial year. As the company announced on Monday in Stuttgart, sales rose to 5.8 billion euros last year. This corresponds to a nominal increase of 14 percent. The main growth driver was the online business, which accounted for almost 30 percent of sales in 2021. A spokesman did not provide any information on the profit on request.
According to its own statements, Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH is a leading supplier of power tools, garden equipment, power tool accessories and measurement technology. In 2021, the division employed around 21,000 people. Within the Bosch Group, together with BSH Hausgeräte, it forms the consumer goods pillar. Overall, Bosch generated sales of 78.7 billion euros in 2021. At group level, sales increased by a good ten percent.
