Bietigheim (dpa/lsw) - The handball players of SG BBM Bietigheim have made an impressive start to the new Champions League season. Coach Markus Gaugisch's team won the start of the group phase at Czech champions DHK Banik Most on Sunday 46:23 (23:12) and thus celebrated their 56th competitive win in a row. Julia Maidhof and Veronika Malá were the guests' most successful throwers with six goals each. "We are satisfied," said Gaugisch. "The low error rate and the focused shots on offense were the key to victory."
