Around noon, the Chancellor will give a speech to around 500 participants on how to deal with the various crises. The SPD in the southwest is hoping for tailwind from Scholz, because the state party is currently only 13 to 15 percent in the polls. At the party congress, the top leadership is also re-elected. The 53-year-old Andreas Stoch, party leader and opposition leader in the state parliament, is the only candidate.
Before the party congress, Scholz visits the automotive supplier ZF in Friedrichshafen in the morning (9.45 a.m.). During a tour, the chancellor wants to find out more about the challenges in the automotive industry. There are also talks with trainees. A trip in a self-driving e-shuttle on the technology group's premises is also planned. The visit to VfB Friedrichshafen in the afternoon (2 p.m.) will be about volunteering. With 3,500 members, the association, founded in 1909, is one of the largest in Baden-Württemberg.
