Heidenheim (dpa / lsw) - A chimney sweep found a skeleton in the basement of a house in Heidenheim while working. He alerted the police, who rushed to the scene, as did a coroner. "At the site, the police officers quickly realized that the investigation could be stopped," it said in a statement on Friday. Because the skeleton was not human remains - but a doll that was used for filming. The incident happened on Tuesday.
The officials emphasized that the chimney sweep had acted correctly: Anyone who sees anything suspicious should inform the police at any time. "Even if it turns out that no crime has actually been committed, you take responsibility. When in doubt, the police would rather go out too much than too little."
