Dobel (dpa / lsw) - A good two weeks after the death of a 68-year-old woman in Dobel (Calw district), two suspects are in custody. As the police and prosecutors announced on Friday, a couple is suspected of having killed the woman with a knife. The police initially said nothing about a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing, it said. The investigators came to the suspected perpetrators through traces near the crime scene and through tips from witnesses.
The couple had already been arrested on Thursday in the shared apartment in the Rastatt district. Arrest warrants were issued for the 29-year-old man and his 38-year-old partner on Friday.
The police discovered the body of the 68-year-old on July 21 after a witness in her house in Dobel. She had been killed after the investigation the day before. After the bodies were found, the Calw police had set up a 34-strong special commission called "Loipe".
