Mannheim (dpa/lsw) - Travellers, commuters and train station visitors can work mobile in the new "coworking" area of the train in Mannheim's main station. There are 18 jobs available for them on the upper floor of the building, which can be booked with a free app, as Deutsche Bahn announced on Tuesday.
Usage is billed precisely, and a meeting room and three telephone boxes are also available as a retreat. With this service, the group wants to make the train stations more attractive and convince people to switch to the train.
In Karlsruhe, according to Bahn, there is already a similar offer from a partner near the main station. Deutsche Bahn already operates the model in the main train stations in Berlin and Hanover. Further coworking offers are to be created across the state and nationwide.
