Konstanz (dpa/lsw) - Large-scale police operation because of a few candles: Because of a box left on a window of the prayer house of the Konstanz synagogue, the synagogue and surrounding buildings were cleared by the police and the area was cordoned off. Defusers from the State Criminal Police Office quickly gave the all-clear on Friday evening: when they scanned the box, they only saw a few standard candles in the package. It is not known who left them there, a police spokesman said on Monday.
