Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The testing group Dekra
is now also checking cars and trucks for road safety in Costa Rica
. The company is now active in vehicle testing in 25 countries, a spokesman announced on Wednesday in Stuttgart. Dekra won the corresponding tender and will operate the vehicle inspection program for two years, managing 13 stationary and three mobile stations. 450 employees will be hired locally and an average of two million vehicle inspections will be carried out annually. Operations are expected to start at the end of September.
According to Dekra, it is the world's leading vehicle inspection company - with Costa Rica, the number of annual vehicle inspections worldwide increases to around 30 million.
