Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Train passengers will also feel the disruption around Stuttgart Central Station as a result of a defective overhead line on Sunday. The repairs are dragging on, the railway said on Saturday evening. According to a spokesman, 4 of the 16 above-ground tracks are now passable again, so that long-distance and regional traffic is slowly being resumed.
According to information on the group's website, the ICE connections from Munich via Stuttgart and Mannheim to Cologne and Hamburg or to Frankfurt/Main and Berlin are affected. The S-Bahn lines 1 to 3 run underground in the main station, and passengers can use them to commute to Esslingen, for example, in order to change to regional and long-distance trains there.
