Eberhardzell (dpa / lsw) - A driver died in the hospital after an accident in the Biberach district. The 67-year-old wanted to overtake a truck and a car driving behind it on Sunday night on a federal road near Eberhardzell, the police said. During the overtaking manoeuvre, the driver in front also wanted to overtake, which led to the collision. According to the information, the 67-year-old then came off the road into a ditch and rolled over.
The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. Another person, about whom the police could not provide any information at the time, was in the car as a passenger and was also injured. The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed. The main road then had to be completely closed for several hours.
