Baden-Württemberg: Drunk throws dog on train tracks

Sigmaringen (dpa / lsw) - A drunk threw his dog onto the train tracks in Sigmaringen. The pit bull terrier mix injured his legs, police said. A spokesman said it was probably his intoxicated state that prompted the man to throw it. The approximately 25-year-old man was therefore on Tuesday morning with the animal in the station area, bullied people, kicked objects and left the place before the police came. The police have launched an investigation into an offense under the Animal Welfare Act. The dog was taken to a veterinarian and an animal shelter.
