Baden-Württemberg: Experts expect stagnating unemployment in the southwest

Despite all the crises, the job market in the southwest has recently shown itself to be robust. According to experts, this has not changed by the end of 2022 either.

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - According to experts, the number of unemployed in Baden-Württemberg in December 2022 should have remained about the same as in the previous month. In November, 227,800 people in Baden-Württemberg were registered as unemployed, according to the regional directorate of the employment agency in Stuttgart. The unemployment rate was 3.6 percent. Compared to December 2021, labor market experts expect higher numbers for the past month. At that time, 212,300 people were unemployed, the rate was 3.4 percent.

The December data will be presented by the regional directorate on Tuesday (9.55 a.m.). The cut-off date for the survey was December 14th.
