Blumberg (dpa / lsw) - A fire on an agricultural property in Blumberg (Schwarzwald-Baar district) on Saturday evening caused damage of around 800,000 euros, according to initial estimates. According to the police, the two residents of the house were unharmed, and one woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The police had searched for the man with a helicopter including thermal imaging technology, as a spokesman said on Sunday. The emergency services finally found him a few hundred meters away on a high seat. He was said to be fine.
According to initial findings, the fire had spread from the barn to the attached house. The barn burned down, and the flames mainly damaged the roof of the residential building. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.
