Baden-Württemberg: Further failures in Stuttgart S-Bahn traffic

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - At the beginning of the week there were still problems with the S-Bahn traffic in the Stuttgart area. Lines S12, S15 and S30 are canceled, as Deutsche Bahn confirmed on Monday. Since the beginning of the summer holidays, travelers have had to switch to rail replacement services due to the main route being blocked. Since last week there have also been problems with worn tires.

Therefore, there are no S-Bahn trains on the "Panorama route" between Stuttgart main station and Vaihingen. According to the railway, the tires of the 430 series suffered above-average wear on this route. The affected S-Bahn trains are now in the workshop. Where necessary, the wheels are replaced.

The S1 line runs every half hour only between Herrenberg and Stuttgart-Vaihingen and between Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and Kirchheim (Teck). Line S23 runs every hour between Waiblingen and Backnang. There is a shuttle service between Filderstadt and Stuttgart-Vaihingen. The S-Bahn lines S2, S4, S5 and S6/S60 will continue as planned. With the end of the summer holidays on September 12th, the S-Bahn should run again on all routes.
