Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The cable manufacturer Lapp gets a new CEO. Matthias Lapp, grandson of company founder Ursula Ida Lapp, will take over the post on October 1, as the company announced on Wednesday. The 39-year-old succeeds his uncle Andreas Lapp, who is retiring from the operative business. The chairmanship of the supervisory board, which his father Siegbert Lapp holds, is also changing and, according to the information, will also be taken over by the previous deputy Hans Schumacher on October 1st.

Lapp buys copper and uses it to make cables. According to the company, it is the world market leader for integrated solutions in the field of cable and connection technology.
