Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Both the highest and the lowest temperature in Germany were measured in Baden-Württemberg this spring. As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) on Monday, it was minus 14.6 degrees on April 4 in Meßstetten on the Swabian Alb - the lowest spring temperature in all of Germany. In Ohlsbach, northeast of Freiburg, on the other hand, the highest temperature in Germany was measured on May 20 at 33.7 degrees.
After spring 2021 was clearly too cool, the period from March to May 2022 was back in the series of springs that were clearly too warm. According to the DWD, the average temperature in the southwest was 9.7 degrees (previous year 7.6 degrees).
According to the information, Baden-Württemberg was the rainiest federal state with a rainfall of almost 160 liters per square meter. According to the DWD, it was also one of the sunny regions with almost 700 hours of sunshine.
