Baden-Württemberg: Government increases subsidies for social housing

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The green-black state government is planning more money for social housing. This emerges from the budget draft that Finance Minister Danyal Bayaz (Greens) introduced to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, the daily newspapers "Stuttgarter Zeitung" and "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" reported in their Tuesday editions. Accordingly, the volume of approvals is to increase from the last 427 million euros to 551 million euros in the year after next.

The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Housing on request. The planned value for the coming year is 463 million euros.

In the current year, a record level of funding will already be reached, as Housing Minister Nicole Razavi (CDU) told the newspapers. "Now we want to go one step further so that even more affordable housing can be created in the country," said the department head.
