Fellbach/Kernen im Remstal (dpa/lsw) - Two senior citizens were attacked and robbed in a similar way at the weekend in the Rems-Murr district. As the police announced on Monday, an 85-year-old woman was attacked in Fellbach late on Saturday evening by an unknown person who snatched her handbag and fled with it. The woman fell and suffered minor injuries.
According to the police, the second attack took place in the neighboring municipality of Kernen im Remstal (also in the Rems-Murr district). An 84-year-old woman was attacked from behind on a footpath early Sunday evening and knocked to the ground. The perpetrator dragged the elderly woman several meters into an unlit area, where he finally snatched her handbag and fled with it. The woman suffered minor injuries in the robbery and required hospital treatment.
