Ulm (dpa / lsw) - A storm with heavy rain temporarily brought traffic to a standstill in the region around Ulm on Friday. A police spokesman said in the evening that the road on Autobahn 8 near Ulm was temporarily under water. The Technical Relief Agency freed the road from the water masses.
On the A7 near Langenau (Alb-Donau-Kreis), there was a 15-kilometer traffic jam on the water-covered lane due to heavy traffic. In Heidenheim, too, several streets were temporarily under water due to the storm. There were no accidents despite the water-covered roads. The German Weather Service had warned of severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail in the region in the afternoon.
