Balingen (dpa / lsw) - A major fire in Balingen in the Zollernalb district caused damage of several hundred thousand euros. As the police announced on Sunday, the fire broke out in a production hall in a metal construction company on Saturday afternoon. The hall was badly damaged and several metalworking machines were destroyed by the flames. The fire brigade was deployed with almost 80 people and 17 vehicles.
Rescue workers looked after five people. Nobody got hurt. The road was completely closed for the extinguishing work. It was initially unclear why the fire broke out.
