Baden-Württemberg: How do dragonfly larvae survive climate change?

Tübingen (dpa/lsw) - The University of Tübingen is currently investigating how a highly specialized dragonfly species copes with periods of drought. The larvae of the striped spring damsel like it cool and damp. They live in cold streams of springs in shady ravine forests for several years before the black and yellow dragonflies hatch. Along the Albtrauf and Schönbuch in Tübingen lies one of the regions where the particularly protected species lives in Germany. At this point, a student from the university is doing research.
