Offenburg (dpa / lsw) - In an accident on a motorway in Offenburg (Ortenaukreis), a 30-year-old truck driver and his passenger were slightly injured. The truck driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel early on Saturday morning, the police said. The semi-trailer truck went off the road, overturned and caught fire. Both occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicle. Rescue workers treated the slightly injured people on site. The semitrailer burned out completely. The police estimate the damage at around 90,000 euros.
