Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - The Karlsruher SC gets a new statute. At an extraordinary general meeting on Thursday, the members of the second division soccer team approved the club's new draft statutes with a large majority. With a total of 96.3 percent yes votes, the new work easily achieved the necessary two-thirds majority of the 416 members present in the online event. The new version only needs to be changed in a few points compared to the template.
In the future, the association council and the board of directors will be combined in a members' council, which will consist of eleven people. It is intended to combine the advisory and control functions of the club. In addition, a new arbitration commission is to take over the tasks of the former honorary council, and the individual departments are to be reflected in the new department council. Instead of the age of 18, as was previously the case, members can now vote from the age of 16.
The members also supported with a large majority a new preamble with an explicit commitment to the German Basic Law, human rights and values such as sustainability, tolerance, openness, variety and diversity. The members rejected the planned introduction of gender language in the statutes with 56 percent of the votes.
