The 84-year-old drove his car into the opposite lane on Saturday evening for reasons that have not yet been explained and crashed head-on into an oncoming car, the police said. In addition to the 58-year-old driver of the other vehicle, the other occupants were also seriously injured, including an eight-year-old child. The person who caused the accident was rescued from the wreckage by emergency services and died at the scene of the accident. The other injured were taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter.
