Baden-Württemberg: Man flees in the car from the police and ends up in prison

Heilbronn (dpa / lsw) - A man tried to flee from the police under drugs and with suspected stolen goods in the car. Because there were also two arrest warrants against the 30-year-old, he was jailed on Friday night, according to a police statement.

The man was on Thursday evening on the Autobahn 6 between Heilbronn and Bad Rappenau "with a conspicuous driving style" in the direction of Mannheim. When a police patrol wanted to control the man, he fled from the officers. Although one of his car tires broke on the run, the man continued to drive on the rim to a rest area, according to the police. From there, the 30-year-old tried to escape on foot.

However, the officers arrested him and discovered the presumed reason for his flight: according to the police, the man was on drugs, did not have a driver's license and was driving in the car with stolen license plates and allegedly also stolen perfume, tools and electronic devices.
